Cape Town’s rising star, Max Boshoff, is just four heats away from etching his name into South African karting history. The 11-year-old heads to the season finale of the 2025 MSA National ROK Cup Kart Championship at Red Star Raceway firmly in command of the Mini ROK standings.
Max has been the standout performer this season, racking up six wins from nine heats and showcasing a level of consistency and racecraft that has set him apart from the competition. With 283 points to his name, he leads a tightly packed field where rivals like Kayde Cornofsky, Santiago Frade, and his brother Zac Boshoff are still in mathematical contention.
The challenge now is simple but far from straightforward: four heats remain, and every lap will count. For Max, the reward could be monumental: his first national karting title and the culmination of a breakthrough season that has firmly established him as one of the country’s brightest young motorsport talents.
“This is what I’ve worked for all year,” Max said ahead of the weekend. “We’ve had the speed, we’ve had the wins, but now it’s about staying sharp, avoiding mistakes, and finishing the job.”
Fans can expect nothing less than a nail-biting finale as the Mini ROK title is decided. For Max, the chance to become a national champion is now within touching distance.
