This Historics-rich meeting features all the regular Tour fixtures, as well as the PABAR Pink Challenge Ladies Monoposto race to celebrate the ladies’ day in style.

A unique race set to showcase among South Africa’s top lady racers competing in single seater cars including Super Vees, Formula Fords and Vees and similar machinery, the Pabar Pink Challenge girls are just the tip of the Historic and Inland Tour iceberg, however. The rest of the program is just as ready to satisfy the Zwartkops faithful with its regular fare of great racing.

Not least the thundering Marlboro Crane Hire Pre-’66 V8 Legends, where Mustang legend Ben Morgenrood is up against Seef Fourie’s Cougar, James Temple’s Capri Perana, Mark du Toit’s Mustang and Fairlane duo, Colin Ellison and Paige Lindenberg. Hennie Groenewald is one of the Little Giants out to beat the V8s in his nimble Escort with Jono Needham’s Cortina, Djurk Venter’s Escort and Alfa Romeo trio, Marc Miller, Francesco Lombardi and Roger Houston on his case.

Staying with the historic action. Larry Wilford and Jono du Toit’s Lola T70s and Peter Bailey’s Ford GT40 will be out against Mark du Toit and James Temple’s Daytona Coupe, Andre van der Merwe’s Porsche 911 RSR, Seef Fourie Jr’s Chevy Can-Am and the rest in the Le Mans Sports, GT and Trans-Am race. Van der Merwe’s Porsche will also race Andre ten Napel’s Scirocco and Clive Wilmot’s Escort in the Evapco HRSA Sprint races, where John McLachlan and Cameron Foster’s Datsuns, Johan Gouws’ Scirocco and Rian de Ru’s Prefect are among the class favourites.

Besides the ladies, the Historic Single Seaters will also see Ryan Budd’s Ray up against Formula Ford rivals Paul Richardson’s Dulon, Alan Kernick in his Tempest, Steve Venter’s Van Diemen and the rest. And the regular Monoposto gentlemen will be out as usual in their Formula Libre races, where Formula M duo JM Gerber and Aidan Morrow take on Swift Formula GTi pair Louis van der Merwe and Damien Archer, Steve Venter’s Formula Ford and a selection of Vees and SuperVees.

David Jermy, JP Nortje, Sean Hewitt and Jeff Gable are the Lotus Challenge men to beat but never ignore Locost men Nick Hodgson, Sean Hepburn, Davide Favo and Andre du Plessis. Pro driver Devin Robertson, Gavin Botha, Sebastian Venkov Cyril Jacobs, Christian Padayachee, Tyler Posthumus, and Anton Repsold should feature in the INEX Legends.

Add two exciting tin op races. Watch for Marnus du Plessis’ Primera, Marius Jacobs’ Tigra, Faudo Sidique in his Civic and Paul van Niekerk’s Golf in the SPS Silver Cup races. And Sports men Glenton Rebello Birkin, Adriaan le Roux’s Caterham and the rest taking on Clubmen Rodney Kruis’ Ballade, Wayne Lebotschy’s Golf, Tjaart Visser in a Ballade in their heats.

Other Women’s Day Historic & Inland race action includes MLN Cranes MHCC & Alfa Trofeo and the back-to-front Evapco HRSA Pursuit handicap.
