It is with regret that the passing of Swadick “Dickie” Firfirey on 30 June 2023 is announced.
Dickie started navigating for Brady Dabner in the rapid Condecor Ford Escort MkII 1600 BDA and though they did not finish often, much experience was gained and that little Ecsort created it’s own reputation.
Swopping sides Dickie enjoyed many good outings in the ex-Salvan Moodley Toyota Corolla 1600 rear wheel drive with Brian Davids in the suicide seat.
A VW Golf MkI GTi saw the combination move into front wheel drive and they certainly made their presence felt with a number of respectable results.
In recent years Dickie would occasionally join in the Witzenberg Motorklub Gymkhana Championship with a variety of vehicles – just for fun!
Dickie leaves his only son Adam (aged 22).
