South African rider Diego de Ponte will continue his European racing campaign after being announced as part of the IUM Motorsports line up for Round 2 of the MotoJunior GP Championship at the Circuito do Estoril in Portugal on 13 and 14 June 2026.
Following a strong start to his 2026 ESBK season, where he has secured four podium finishes from four races, de Ponte will step up as a wildcard entry with the team’s Stock European Championship programme.
His participation marks another opportunity for South African motorsport fans to follow a local rider competing on the international stage as he continues to build valuable experience in European competition.
All eyes will be on Estoril as de Ponte looks to continue his impressive form and add another chapter to a promising 2026 season.
