Motorsport South Africa is pleased to announce the South African Team selected to compete in the 2026 FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations Championship, which will take place in Windhoek, Namibia, from 28 to 30 August 2026.08.

The team will be led by Captain Jayden Proctor.

As the MXOAN is a team championship, riders will score points for their respective countries throughout the event. The two highest scores from each country will count towards the overall team result.

The South African team will compete across eight classes, namely MX 50, MX 65, MX Lites, MX 125, MX 1, MX 2, VMX and WMX.

Teams from Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe will proudly represent their countries at this prestigious continental championship.

Moira Grundy will serve as Team Manager and will lead the South African squad throughout the championship.

MSA Motocross Commission President Neville Townsend encouraged the riders to embrace the honour of representing their country.

“Be proudly South African and proud to be part of the MSA South African Motocross Team,” said Townsend.

Motorsport South Africa congratulates all the riders on their selection and wishes the team a safe journey and every success at the championship. The riders are encouraged to represent South Africa with pride, respect and true sporting spirit.
