Motorsport South Africa (MSA) wishes to provide the following clarification regarding its involvement in the 2025 Roof of Africa event, scheduled to take place in Lesotho as the final round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship.

After thorough evaluation and in accordance with established FIM regulatory principles in connection with the Hard Enduro World Championship event format, MSA will exclusively sanction the Gold Class. For the avoidance of doubt, the Silver, Bronze, and Iron classes are not sanctioned by MSA.

Consequently, the MSA Group Accident Insurance will apply only to competitors entered in the Gold Class and to officials, marshals, and accredited media personnel operating within the Gold Class.

Competitors holding FIM licences should note that any medical treatment or hospitalisation must be managed through their FIM insurance arrangements.

Competitors who hold an MSA Annual or One-Event National licence and are participating in the Gold Class are reminded of the provisions and requirements regarding the MSA GPA insurance policy. For any queries in this regard, please contact Rashaad Monteiro at rashaad@motorsport.co.za

MSA emphasises that the Silver, Bronze, and Iron classes are neither sanctioned nor insured by MSA.

All parties are further informed that MSA’s public liability policy does not apply to this event under any circumstances. Public liability coverage is provided solely through the promoters’ (PTG EVENTS (PTY) LTD) independent insurance arrangements. All enquiries and potential claims shall therefore be addressed exclusively to the promoters, PTG EVENTS (PTY) LTD.
