Motorsport South Africa joins the South African motorsport community in mourning the passing of Justin Robertson, who left us yesterday.

A fierce competitor and a naturally gifted racing driver, Justin made his mark across several categories and became a familiar and much respected presence at circuits around the country. His pace, determination and humility earned him admiration both on and off the track.

Justin’s racing career was decorated with achievements that spoke to his talent and commitment to the sport. He was a multiple regional champion, with standout honours including the 2006 1660 National Championship and the 2007 2.0L Hot Rod National Championship. He claimed three Mayhem Club titles, placed second in the 2010 B2 Championship for Super Saloons and captured the 2011 Super Saloon Championship behind the wheel of a BMW M3.

While his results were impressive, Justin will be remembered just as strongly for his character. He carried himself with sportsmanship, warmth and a way of uplifting others that made him deeply valued within the motorsport family.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, teammates and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory continue to inspire.
