Newly-crowned Mobil 1 V8 Supercars champion Julian Fameliaris returns to Zwartkops Raceway this weekend for the final time, only a few weeks after claiming his maiden title. With the Regional Extreme Festival hosting its Grand Finale for the 2023 motorsport season, the Mobil 1 V8 Supercars season also comes to a close. Fameliaris is looking to continue his winning ways.
Fameliaris, who has been the form driver this season, would like nothing more than to add to his seven victories, two of which came at the last round held at Zwartkops Raceway.
“The Lube-Net Chevvy Corvette has been remarkably reliable this season. We always knew that if we could be consistent and finish races, we could challenge for wins. 2023 has been the perfect example of that, and with the championship in the bag, I’m hoping to finish the season with that same consistency,” stated Fameliaris.
Spectators are encouraged to attend with tickets available for purchase at the gate. Costs are R130/adult, R90/student with children U/12 free. Adlem and Mobil 1 V8 Supercars would like to acknowledge and thank African Group Lubricants for making the 2023 season possible.
