It’s Alibhai versus Bezuidenhout in Zwartkops MSA4
The 2026 Investchem MSA4 championship has been all about two young men in the four races so far. 2025 runner up by a whisker, Mikel Bezuidenhout dominated the Cape Town season opener at Killarney in March, before former British Formula 4 racer and Johannesburg compatriot Aqil Alibhai turned the chase on its head when he dominated the second round at the Red Star Raceway near Delmas last month.
Now the two men head to Zwartkops for Investchem MSA4’s third round races at the Pretoria National Extreme Festival with Alibhai’s Kokoro MSA4 in a narrow championship lead over Bezuidenhout’s Corsa Dei Gemelli machine. But that does not mean that either of them are favourites at Zwartkops, which also happens to be home ground to most of the grid.
Among those ready to upset the Alibhai Bezuidenhout applecart is Durbanite Shrien Naidoo’s Production X MSA4. If Shrien has been anything in 2026, that’s luckless so he’ll certainly be out to change all that in Pretoria this weekend. Also expect interference up front from Metal Used ATT driver Renzo Ribeiro, the ever-competitive Karabo Malemela’s KMFT Morita MSA4, Kent Swartz and feisty FAST rookie Luigi Bidoli.
Steadily improving Kokoro Reach for a Dream supporter Chase Haskins, is another hot rookie to watch out for, as is Corsa Dei Gemelli freshman Wianko Fourie. And never ignore Red Dot Vantage lad Liam Polome, Ndzalo Khoza’s Horizon Dynamics MSA4 and 76 Legacy WOrr lad Aadam Kajee.
The lads also have a troop of fast racing ladies to look out for in Pretoria. Apex Cordset Kokoro lass Anastasia Gerasis, Gianna Pascoal’s 76 Legacy WOrr car and Investchem lady Simphiwe Mohlalo are ready to topple the lot of them! Racing as part of the spectacular National Extreme Festival Investchem, MSA4 promises great action as always in Pretoria on Saturday 23 May. See you at Zwartkops!
