Motorsport South Africa (MSA) today announced the strategic implementation of the Sportity mobile application, to serve as its official digital notice board and document repository for all MSA National Championship events. Commencing with the 2026 National Championship season, this initiative will be provided at no cost to all National Championship events and organisers, marking a significant step in the modernisation of the sport’s administration in South Africa.

The adoption of Sportity aligns MSA with the highest standards of international best practice, mirroring the communication tools used by the world governing bodies of motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), for their respective world championship events. This move is designed to streamline the flow of information, ensuring that competitors, officials, and organisers have instant access to critical event documentation such as regulations, bulletins, schedules, and results.

Vic Maharaj, Chief Executive Officer of MSA, stated, “The implementation of Sportity is a cornerstone of our commitment to enhancing the professionalism and efficiency of South African motorsport. By providing a centralised, real-time communication platform, we are not only simplifying event management for our organisers but also elevating the competitor experience. This is a vital step in ensuring our National Championships are run to a world-class standard and that South African motorsport remains relevant and respected on the global stage.”

The Sportity app provides a secure and user-friendly platform for the distribution of official documents and notices. Its key benefits include instant notifications, offline access to downloaded documents, and a structured environment that eliminates the clutter of social media and email, ensuring all stakeholders receive information directly from the official source.

In anticipation of the upcoming season, all MSA National Championship organisers, promoters, officials, teams, and competitors are encouraged to download the Sportity app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices.
