2023 MSA National Cadet Karting Champion Luhan De Wet will compete for the final time this season as he takes to the Vereeniging Kart Circuit this weekend for the final round of the Vortex-powered regional competition for Gauteng competitors.

De Wet, who has retired his Bambino/Cadet kart, has already commenced preparations for the 2024 season, having recently competed in a Mini MAX event. This weekend sees the Centurion resident move up to the Mini ROK class, where he will compete for honours in the Under-10 category.

“It will be a different challenge for us this weekend,” stated De Wet. “Since moving up from Bambino and Cadets, we’ve raced a Mini MAX and this weekend will merely be about getting some more seat time ahead of the 2024 season.”

De Wet thanks De Wet Automotive Performance Service and Repairs, Duratec Batteries Centurion, Alunite Pretoria and the team at WORR Motorsport.

Race day will commence on Saturday with a Warm-Up and a Qualifying Session. Three race heats will conclude the day’s racing. Entry to the circuit is free and spectators are welcomed.
