South African hard enduro rider Kevin de Kock showcased grit and determination at the Sea to Sky Hard Enduro, held in Kemer, Türkiye , from 9 to 11 October 2025. Taking on one of the world’s most challenging and scenic enduro events, Kevin delivered an impressive performance across three demanding stages: Beach, Forest, and Mountain, against a world-class field.

The event kicked off with the Beach Race, where Kevin powered through the fast, sandy course to secure a strong start. Despite fierce competition and hectic bar-to-bar action, he maintained composure and consistency to build a solid platform for the days ahead.

On day two, during the Forest Race, Kevin found his rhythm on the 300cc bike, his first event on this machine, and showed great adaptability over flowing trails and rocky climbs. His smooth and steady riding style saw him gain valuable ground and confidence heading into the final stage.

The ultimate challenge came with the Mountain (Sky) Race, a brutal test of endurance and technical skill that took riders high into the rocky peaks above Kemer. Kevin climbed all the way to Checkpoint 12 before time ran out, securing a commendable 55th overall and a top-30 finish in the Silver class.

Reflecting on the race, Kevin said, “It was an incredible experience from start to finish. The terrain, the atmosphere, and the level of competition were unreal. I gave it everything and learned a lot. I am already motivated to come back next year and push for a full finish.”

Kevin’s performance once again highlights South Africa’s growing presence on the international hard enduro stage, proving that local riders can hold their own among the world’s best.
