Josh le Roux is off to Cape Town this weekend for the second round of the 2023 GTC Championship, in what has been a whirlwind start to the season.

There has been very little down time for the Chemical Logistics Team, with just three weeks between the first two championship rounds. Despite this, Josh will be feeling a lot more settled behind the wheel of his Investchem / Master Stairs Audi S3, following his successful saloon car debut at Kyalami at the end of February.

Although it will be Josh’s first race in a “tin-top” around Killarney, he has single seater experience around the Western Province circuit and has claimed victory around the historic 3.2km track.

“I am optimistic about the weekend and feel that I can start pushing myself a bit harder now that I have the first round under my belt. As long as I keep a sensible head on my shoulders, I know I can bring home some good results,” commented Josh.

GTC is the pinnacle of saloon car racing in South Africa and as such, Josh (who celebrates his birthday 17th birthday on Thursday 16 March 2023) is just one of several South African Champions in the class. The racing is super competitive, but fans can rest assured that Josh will be giving 100%.

Racing will be streamed live on the Global Touring Cars Facebook page and the 2WheelsTV YouTube channel.
