SA, Namibian, Belgian & Dutch crews for Free State race

Red-Lined Motorsport heads to the double header, second and third round of the 2025 South African National Rally-Raid Championship in Parys with a strong ten-car line-up and a truly international squad over the weekend of 15 and 16 August. With South African, Namibian, Belgian and Dutch crews competing in all three car classes, the team is looking forward to a competitive outing in the Free State.

Young guns, Jayden Els and Johan Swemmer top the Red-Lined Motorsport entry list in their FIA Ultimate class REVO T1+ GTR. Always quick, this tenacious duo will be out to put a clean run together as they hope to take it to their big gun manufacturer team rivals in the races based at Stonehenge Estate in Parys. Els and Swemmer will be backed by Dutch duo, regular South African championship visitors Dave and Tessa Klaassen’s in their similar DaklaPack Rallysport REVO T1+ GTR. Another Dutch Red-Lined driver, Red-Lined Europe CEO, Rients Hofstra will sit this one out with his REVO GTR is currently on its way to Europe.

Red-Lined then also has a strong SA T1+ class line-up headed for the Vaal with a trio of normally aspirated REVO T1+ V8’s. Elegant Fuels crew Danie Ludick and Denzil Williamson are keen on a step or two up from third place last time out, as well as wanting to continue their 100% finishing record, which dates back to 2023. Philip Botha and Andries Mynhardt will reunite in the Penta Motor Group backed REVO T1+ with regular navigator Roelof Janse van Vuren away on business. These local pairings will then face some in-house international competition from the Dutch team of Vick Versteijnen and Teun van Dal’s in their DaklaPack Rallysport REVO T1+ V8 and Namibian duo, Marko Himmel and Francois Schoonbee aboard their unique Red-Lined PROTO T1+.

Red-Lined is once again the dominant force with no less than four cars in the ultra-competitive T1 Adventure class. Johan de Bruyn and Adriaan Roets will chase the class win and to repeat their VAPS HCV Red-Lined T1 Cup victory last time out in the Falken Tyres REVO T1. Belgian duo, Vincent Vroninks and Dave Berghmans are back for their second SA outing in their Red-Lined VK56. It’s also a big day for the all-new VAPS HCV Rally-Raid team as they make their National debuts.

Peet Victor and van Zyl Jonck and Abrie and laan Olivier will be aboard a pair of Red-Lined VK50’s for this event. All the Red-Lined Adventure T1 entries will also then be competing for the lucrative VAPS HCV Red-Lined T1 Cup over the weekend. The ever competitive Heinlein family in their Sirkel N VK56 and VK50 will also be miss this event due to business commitments.

“Together with our team and customer entries, we are the single biggest manufacturer represented on the startline of the Parys 400,” Red-Lined team principal Terence Marsh concludes. “Red-Lined cars make up an impressive 40% of the entry list, which of course makes us immensely proud as a privateer business. We are also honoured to host no less than four international Red-Lined crews in the Free State this weekend, which adds a great international flavour to this double round of the South African Rally-Raid Championship.

“We look forward to seeing many of our fans in Parys, as this race is essentially just down the road from Gauteng in Rally-Raid terms. Wishing all our respective teams a fast, safe and rewarding racing weekend!”
