It is with regret that the passing of “Major” Gavin Duncan Grierson is confirmed.
Always somewhat the loner Gavin Grierson enjoyed nothing more than to complete another special stage behind the wheel of the Nissan Skyline 2.8 or his favourite six cylinder Datsun 160U SSS.
Retiring to Hartenbos and eventually George he unfortunately succumbed to the dreaded c word.
Known as the “Major” is stems from his military background where he had earned the rank.
Till we meet again Major ….
