The MSA National ROK Cup Karting season concluded with the final championship round at the Vereeniging Kart Circuit that saw Alanzo Dias finish sixth overall.

After qualifying in fifth on Saturday morning, the still inexperienced Dias put in a gritty opening heat performance to finish seventh in Heat 1. Able to improve his pace in the second heat, Dias crossed the finish line in fourth, but a post-race penalty would see him demoted to ninth. While claiming sixth in the penultimate heat, his performance in the final race showed the young Linksfield driver’s prowess to finish just off the podium in fourth, equaling his best national result in 2023.

“It was quite a challenging day with some stiff competition. While the front runners have a little more in the tank at this moment, we need to narrow the gap to be more competitive going forward. While I might not have their experience, I am eager to compete at the front and will be hard at work ahead of the final regional race,” said Dias.

Dias will return on 11 November 2023 for the final round of the MSA Northern Regions ROK Karting Championship scheduled at the Vereeniging Kart Circuit.
