As the 2026 Investchem MSA4 Championship arrives at Zwartkops Raceway this weekend for Round 3 of the season, Corsa dei Gemelli, with the assistance of DAW Racing, heads into the Pretoria-based event determined to continue its strong presence at the front of South Africa’s premier single-seater category.

Spearheaded by 2025 championship runner-up Mikel Bezuidenhout, the team arrives at Zwartkops carrying momentum from a sensational opening round at Killarney International Raceway, where Bezuidenhout claimed two race victories and firmly established himself as one of the leading title contenders once again. Sitting second in the current championship standings, the Johannesnurg teenager will be eager to continue closing the gap at a circuit renowned for producing close, high-intensity racing.

Having already demonstrated front-running pace throughout the opening stages of the season, Bezuidenhout knows consistency will remain key as the championship battle intensifies.

“Zwartkops is always a demanding circuit because the margins are incredibly small, and you have to be precise every lap,” said Bezuidenhout. “We had a very positive start to the season at Killarney, but the focus now is on maintaining that momentum and maximising every session. The team has been working hard behind the scenes, and hopefully we can fight for more podiums and victories this weekend.”

Alongside Bezuidenhout, rookie Wianko Fourie continues his steep learning curve in national single-seater competition. After stepping into the championship this season with limited circuit racing experience, Fourie has faced a challenging introduction to the category while adapting to both the Investchem MSA4 machinery and South Africa’s national circuits. Despite the difficulties, the Parys-based driver continues to make steady progress and heads to Round 3 focused on securing his first championship points.

“The start to the season hasn’t been easy, but every session in the car is helping me improve and gain confidence,” explained Fourie. “The goal this weekend is to keep learning, get comfortable with the setup changes quicker, and hopefully put together a strong enough weekend to score my first points. The team has been incredibly supportive, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Track action gets underway on Friday with practice before qualifying, and two races headline Saturday’s Round 3 programme.

Corsa dei Gemelli is backed by Huawei Mobile and MTN Cosmo-Net, and partnered by Sparco South Africa.
