Chase Haskins will return to Red Star Raceway this weekend as the 2026 ROK Cup South Africa National Karting Championship gets underway with a high-intensity double header. The Mpumalanga circuit, just outside Delmas, will host Rounds 1 and 2 of an eight-round season, placing immediate emphasis on consistency and early points scoring.

Competing in the competitive OKN category, Chase arrives with a growing sense of confidence following a promising close to his 2025 national campaign. Having only joined the national grid for the final two rounds last season, he made an immediate impression, narrowly missing out on a podium finish at the very same venue he returns to this weekend. That experience at Red Star could prove valuable as he looks to convert pace into results.

Momentum is firmly on his side heading into the season opener. Chase, who races with the Kokoro Racing Academy, recently secured overall victory at the opening round of the Northern Regions ROK Karting Championship, also held at Red Star Raceway. The result not only underlines his familiarity with the circuit, but also signals his intent ahead of the national campaign.

Aged just 14, Chase continues to demonstrate both commitment and passion for the sport. Away from the track, his enthusiasm for motorsport remains relentless, whether through karting, sim racing, or studying racecraft. Alongside his racing ambitions, Chase also serves as an ambassador for the Reach for a Dream Foundation, using his platform to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children facing life-threatening illnesses.

With a strong foundation, recent success, and valuable track knowledge, Chase heads into the opening rounds of the 2026 season well-positioned to establish himself as a contender in the OKN category.
