The Southern African Vintage and Veteran Association (SAVVA), formed in 1968 plays a vital role in preserving the country’s motoring history. As an association of clubs dedicated to vintage and veteran vehicles, SAVVA supports enthusiasts in restoring, maintaining and showcasing historic cars, motorcycles and machinery.
Through its member clubs, SAVVA fosters a strong sense of community and keeps the legacy of motoring alive via regular events, rallies and exhibitions. From century old classics to post war favourites, these vehicles are more than machines, they are moving time capsules, each with its own story.
SAVVA also advocates for fair policies and regulations that protect the rights of historic vehicle owners, ensuring these irreplaceable treasures remain part of South Africa’s cultural landscape.
