Farhaan Basha heads to Zwartkops Raceway this weekend on the back of a solid outing at the penultimate round of the CompCare Polo Cup Championship in Cape Town a few weeks ago.
Basha, who recorded a triple-podium finish, will be hoping to capitalise on his season-ending form to claim his first win in the championship and elevate himself up the rankings.
Ranked sixth in the championship, the QWVI Motorsport driver is within striking distance of fourth place, with only three points separating positions four to six. Despite a challenging previous visit to the Pretoria circuit for Round 3, the Johannesburg resident will be keen on impressing his sponsors and the expectant Zwartkops faithful.
Friday will see three practice sessions ahead of the all-important qualifying session later the afternoon (16:55). Two races (12:15 and 14:45) will conclude the day’s racing. Tickets are on sale at the gate on Saturday, with a live stream also available on the Extreme Festival Facebook page.
