Motorsport South Africa (MSA) congratulates Aqil Alibhai on his maiden Formula 4 race win at Snetterton in the UK this past weekend and wishes him well for the rest of the season.

Aqil started racing karts when he was just four years old and is a young man  determined to prove his mettle to earn a spot in F1. His race victory so early in his first single seater racing season is testimony to this determination.

MSA caught up with Aquil and this is what he had to say: “To win in such a prestigious championship in only my fourth weekend racing a single seater is something none of us will ever forget! What a truly great weekend that also saw us jump from tenth to seventh in the title chase. Special thanks to my dad for his belief in me, to my Virtuosi team for a brilliant car, and to my many fans back home in SA and here in the UK. Hopefully that’s also the first of many more ROKiT British F4 race wins, starting with my next shot at it at Thruxton in two weeks’ time. Bring it on!”
