Motorsport South Africa (MSA) is pleased to announce that Mr. Neville Townsend, the current President of the MSA Motocross Commission, has been appointed as the Chairman of the MSA Enduro and Cross Country Motorcycle Working Groups.
Louwrens Mahoney, the former Chairman for Cross Country Motorcycles, and Robin Flores, the former Chairman for Enduro, will continue to serve on their respective Working Groups as Vice Chairman.
Strengthening Unity Across Disciplines
This strategic decision has been made to enhance synergy and alignment across the Motocross, Enduro, and Cross Country motorcycle disciplines. By bringing these disciplines under a unified structure, the aim is to:
• Improve cooperation between disciplines
• Ensure consistency in decision making
• Unlock new opportunities for growth and development within the sport
Proven Leadership and Vision
Neville brings a wealth of experience and proven leadership within motorsport, positioning him to guide and support the continued advancement of these disciplines. His appointment is expected to:
• Foster rider development pathways
• Strengthen support for clubs and officials
• Drive sustainable growth across all three sectors
