Mackie Adlem is set to partake in his second-last race weekend as part of the Mobil 1 V8 Supercars this Saturday. After several seasons of competing, Adlem has decided to end his Mobil 1 V8 Supercars career at the end of the 2023 season. However, it’s worth noting that the six-time champion is not retiring from motorsport entirely, with the Adlem Auto Jaguar driver not elaborating further.

Ranked second in the GT championship, Adlem is 64 points adrift of championship leader Julian Fameliaris. But with two rounds remaining and three races this weekend, Adlem remains hopeful of his title chances.

“I have always firmly believed that God is in control over every aspect of my life and that my success in motorsport has been down to his grace. Irrespective of the points standings, I race to glorify Him, and the results are what they are. This weekend will be no different. As a team, we have prepared as we always do and are looking forward to entertaining the faithful Zwartkops crowd,” stated Adlem.

Saturday will see three races, scheduled for 10:35, 13:55 and 17:05, each contested over a 10-lap distance. Spectator tickets can be purchased directly from Zwartkops Raceway, and the full Extreme Festival race programme will be broadcast live on the Mobil 1 V8 Supercars Facebook page and 2WheelsTV YouTube channel.
