The MSA Karting Management Group has issued further details regarding the proposed 2027 regional karting calendars, clarifying the dates, venues and classes planned for the Rotax, ROK, Tillotson and Shifter categories, as well as the KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape regional championships.
The additional information follows the release outlining the proposed 2027 South African Karting Championship (SAKC) programme and provides competitors, teams and clubs with a clearer overview of the planned regional racing opportunities for the coming season.
NORTHERN REGIONS REGIONAL ROTAX CALENDAR
The proposed Regional Rotax calendar includes six events at venues across the country.
- 13 February: Zwartkops
- 3 April: VKC
- 22 May: Zwartkops
- 12 June: Formula-K
- 17 July: Zwartkops / African Open
- 30 October: Zwartkops
The proposed classes are Bambino, Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, DD2 and DD2 Masters.
NORTHERN REGIONS REGIONAL ROK, TILLOTSON AND SHIFTER CALENDAR
The proposed calendar for the ROK, Tillotson and Shifter categories includes six events.

- 10 April: Red Star
- 29 May: VKC
- 31 July: Formula-K
- 14 August: Red Star
- 16 October: Formula-K
The proposed Regional classes are Mini ROK, Mini Under 10, OKJ, OKN, KZ Shifter, Tillotson T4 Senior, Tillotson T4 Junior, Tillotson T4 Mini.
KWAZULU-NATAL REGIONAL CALENDAR
The proposed KwaZulu-Natal regional calendar features five events at iDube.

The proposed Regional and Club classes are Bambino, Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, DD2, DD2 Masters and 4strokes.

The Western Cape regional calendar dates will be confirmed in due course.
The proposed Regional classes are Bambino, Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Mini ROK, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, DD2, DD2 Masters, OKJ, OKN and KZ2 Shifters.
