Dear MSA Karting Competitors,
Motorsport South Africa (MSA) wishes to advise all karting competitors that the mandatory implementation date for the FIA Anti-Launch Device has been moved to 1 April 2027.
The device will be mandatory for all karting competitions from this date and will form part of the applicable technical requirements. This requirement supports improved safety across karting competitions.
Competitors are encouraged to plan ahead and ensure their karts are fitted with the required approved Anti-Launch Device before the implementation date.
To obtain the component, please contact your local karting importer, who will be able to provide information on the approved device and assist with sourcing the part.
