Moçambique, aí vamos nós!
SilverCup2.0 competitors will be heading to the ATCM track in Maputo this coming weekend for Round 6 of their 2026 Championship.
Leading the championship, Wessel Mosert will be looking to continue his strong form, while Jonathan Visser, fresh from Aldo Scribante, will be chasing a strong result in Class P.
In Class A+, championship leader Zander Jacobs will take on the Maputo circuit in his Opel Tigra spaceframe, alongside Marius Truter in his newly built Peugeot spaceframe. Morgan Jacobs will also make her return to competition in her Corado.
Competition in Class A is set to be close, with the biggest field of the weekend. Regulars Duane Brown, Ulandi Exner and Wimpie Raman will face the challenge of a new circuit, joined by 2026 newcomers Jaco Roodt, Keithin Meintjies, Desmond Bloem and Quintin Koster.
Class C will see Blaine Neaves, Malcolm Ehlers, Louis Scholtz and Nathan Venter take to the track, all looking forward to experiencing the Maputo circuit and battling for the top step of the podium.
Veteran driver Freek Blignaut will bring his experience and competitive spirit to Class B as he looks to score maximum points.
SilverCup2.0 made its first visit to ATCM Maputo in 2025, with a fantastic response from the local crowd and strong support from their neighbours across the border. The event has now become an annual fixture, with competitor numbers continuing to grow.
The team is looking forward to a weekend of practice, friendly competition and plenty of pit lane memories at the 4km Automovel & Touring Clube de Moçambique.
