Motorsport South Africa (MSA) wishes to inform all competitors, teams, officials, partners, and spectators that the upcoming round of the National Extreme Festival event, scheduled for 14 and 15 August 2026, has been relocated from the East London Grand Prix Circuit to the Aldo Scribante Race Circuit in Gqeberha.

Following ongoing engagement with Border Motorsport since March 2026 regarding the required safety upgrades, it has become clear that the necessary work cannot be completed and verified in time for the August National Extreme Festival event. Accordingly, MSA has taken the decision to relocate the event in the primary interest of safety.

The safety of competitors, officials, and everyone attending an MSA-sanctioned event will always remain our uncompromising priority. This decision has been made at this juncture specifically to minimise logistical and travel disruptions for competitors, teams, and officials, allowing stakeholders adequate time to adjust their arrangements.

While this venue change is regrettable, MSA remains fully committed to working constructively alongside Border Motorsport to rehabilitate the East London Grand Prix Circuit as expeditiously as possible. Our shared objective remains to see the necessary upgrades completed so that the track can be approved for future MSA events.

MSA extends its sincere thanks to the management of the Aldo Scribante Race Circuit for making the venue available at short notice. Further event-specific details, including the publication of the Supplementary Regulations (SRs), will be published on the official MSA website as soon as they become available.
