Chemical Logistics Racing wants more wins in Pretoria

Unbeaten in four races so far in 2026, Chemical Logistics Racing heads to the third round National Extreme Festival looking for more of the same at Zwartkops Raceway on Saturday 23 May. Volkswagen Golf duo Julian van der Watt has won two of the four races so far with teammate KC Ensor-Smith and Keegan Campos’ BMW 128ti taking the others as van der Watt leads the way to Pretoria.

“It would not be remiss to say that Chemical Logistics Racing has had it all its own way so far in 2026,” team boss Ian Schofield explains. “Julian, KC, and Keegan have won all four races driving our cars so far, so we’d like to believe it will carry on that way at Zwartkops. “That said, our competition has had a good break to get its ducks in a row so we cannot expect anything for granted. It’s all hands on deck as we head to Pretoria for what promises to be another great South African Touring Cars weekend.”

Julian van der Watt has been the form man so far in 2026. Despite a first race blip at Killarney, Julian hit back to win the Cape reverse grid race 2 in his Investchem WCT Engineering Volkswagen Golf GTI. Van der Watt then went on to win the Red Star double points feature race before clawing back to third in the Delmas reverse grid race. “We have good momentum in 2026,” Julian explains. So the plan is to just keep on building on that as the season progresses. I can’t wait for Zwartkops!”

Investchem MSA4 champion KC Ensor-Smith arrived in South African Touring Cars in sensational style when he won on debut in the Killarney feature race aboard his African Heating Investchem Volkswagen Golf GTI. He has since continued in just as impressive and consistent form to keep teammate van der Watt well within his sights. “I could not have dreamt of a better start in Global Touring Cars,” KC admits. “But that also means the pressure is on as I have set myself a pretty high standard! So here’s to another strong weekend at my home track!”

While he arrived late, Keegan Campos got straight down to business on his South African Touring Car return at Red Star aboard his Campos Veloce Chemical Logistics FAST BMW 128ti. After a bumpy start, Keegan delivered a dominant reverse grid race 2 win. “We’ve once again started on the back foot after I missed the opening round, but we picked up well enough at Red Star,” Keegan confirmed. “Zwartkops is among my favourite tracks, it’s short and sharp and makes for tricky racing. But we are on it and hunting best results in Pretoria. Bring it on!”

Andrew Schofield has piled on the points to sit a handy fourth in the 2026 chase aboard his FlySafair Chemical Logistics FAST BMW 128ti. “Zwartkops is always complicated,” Andrew reckons. So the plan is to keep out of trouble for two more strong points finishes. Let’s do this, team!” Former triple Touring Car champion Robert Wolk was another to return a round into the chase aboard the team’s brand new Chemical Logistics Volkswagen Golf GTI. “Let’s forget about the missed race and our tough start at Red Star and concentrate on doing what we do best,” Robert smiled. “That’s winning races!”
