Round one of the SA Rally-Raid Championship, the Century Property Developments / Century Racing Outeniqua 600, due to have taken place in the Herold area between George and Uniondale in the Upper Langkloof has had to take a back seat, as the area is placed at a level 8 warning by the Soth African Weather Service, with severe weather forecast for the period 6 to 8 May 2026.

“As a premier SA National Motorsport Championship, risk management and safety is our top priority, and it would be foolhardy of us to ignore the prevailing conditions. It is with great disappointment that we advise, in consideration of the associated factors, the postponement of the Century Property Developments /Century Racing Outeniqua 600 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8 – 10 May”, said SARRC CEO Archie Rutherford.

The event will now take place at Louvain Guest Farm on the weekend of 28 and 29 August. Details of the event to be advised in due course.
