Hillclimbs are one of the oldest and purest forms of motorsport, where it’s just the driver and the car competing against the road and the clock. This undiluted essence is especially true of the Simola Hillclimb, which is the fastest hillclimb in the world.

Iconic timepieces have always gone hand-in-hand with legendary drivers, cars and motor racing events. Accordingly, the Simola Hillclimb is proud to welcome luxury watch and jewellery distributor Picot & Moss and Swiss watch manufacturer Frédérique Constant as Supporting Partners for the 16th edition of South Africa’s premier motoring and motorsport lifestyle event, which takes place from 30 April to 3 May 2026.

“Frédérique Constant is delighted to be a partner for the 2026 Simola Hillclimb, as this represents a natural alignment of precision, performance, and passion,” says Gerhard Nilsson, Brand Manager for Frédérique Constant at Picot & Moss. As the exclusive South African distributor of multiple high-end Swiss luxury brands since 1919, Picot & Moss also operates the only Swiss-certified watch service centre for all their brands in the country, delivering factory-level precision, repair, and after-sales support backed by authorised manufacturer warranties.

The Simola Hillclimb attracts elite drivers, rare supercars and purpose-built racing machines, along with a discerning audience that appreciates heritage and innovation – values that are deeply embedded in Frédérique Constant’s philosophy. “By partnering with this prestigious event, Frédérique Constant reinforces its connection to high-performance environments where timing is everything and excellence is non-negotiable. This collaboration is more than sponsorship – it’s a shared celebration of craftsmanship, adrenaline, and the pursuit of perfection. We are looking forward to creating brand awareness for Frédérique Constant and our local partner, Raffaele D’Amato Jewellers, at the 2026 Simola Hillclimb,” Nilsson says.

“The high-performance nature of the Simola Hillclimb, the exceptional workmanship of the teams in developing their cars and the ultimate precision demanded from the drivers to achieve success in an extremely competitive environment make it the ideal platform to showcase luxury brands such as Frédérique Constant. It is fantastic to have them on board as Supporting Partners this year,” says Ian Shrosbree, MD of the Knysna Speed Festival, which owns and runs the Simola Hillclimb.

Frédérique Constant will feature prominently on the broadcast live timing, supported by branding on the track. Furthermore, throughout this year’s event, Frédérique Constant will have a variety of its classic timepieces on display and for sale at the exclusive Le Mans VIP Lounge, which provides access to more than 500 VIP guests over the three days of competition. This will include its Vintage Rally Healey Collection, which draws inspiration from the racing heritage of Austin-Healey at the 24 Hours of Le Mans during the 1950s.

The 16th edition of the Simola Hillclimb takes place from 30 April to 3 May 2026.
