Luke Hill continued his impressive start to the 2026 Volkswagen Rookie Cup season with a dominant performance at Aldo Scribante Raceway this past weekend, securing a clean sweep of victories.

Hill showed strong pace from the outset, qualifying second on the grid and placing himself firmly in contention for race honours. In Race 1, he made an immediate impact by taking the lead on the opening lap with a decisive move. The race was subsequently red-flagged, but Hill maintained his composure during the restart and controlled the race from the front to secure a well-deserved victory.

Carrying that momentum into Race 2, Hill once again delivered a polished performance. Starting from an inverted grid, Hill demonstrated consistency and race craft, as he worked his way to a second place finish and his second podium of the weekend.

The strong results further strengthen Hill’s position in the championship standings and underlines his early-season form.

Reflecting on the weekend, Hill said:

“It was a really positive weekend for us. The car felt great from the start and the team did an excellent job throughout. Getting the lead early in Race 1 was important, and after the restart I just focused on staying consistent. Race 2 was about managing everything and bringing it home. I’m really happy with the results and grateful for all the support behind me.”

Hill extended his thanks to the partners and sponsors who continue to support his racing programme:

Volkswagen Motorsport South Africa, Astron Energy, Ferodo Racing, Dunlop Tyres, MyGlassSA, Sparco South Africa and Steelform.

The championship now moves forward with Hill carrying strong momentum into the next round.
