It all comes to a head at Zwartkops on Saturday!
There are just two points in it, with a wildcard waiting in the wings, and interference by the dozen when the 2025 ATE VW Challenge comes to a head at Gauteng Extreme Festival presented by Coca-Cola on Saturday 8 November. Class C leader Adriaan de Beer and top Class B man Stuart Mack are those two points apart in the overall chase with another Class C man Bryce Pillay ready to pick up the pieces.
But that’s not all as the biggest ATE VW Challenge field of the season assembles with regulars and wildcards aplenty ready and waiting to tip that applecart. And the Class A battle isn’t over either, with wily Wayne Masters’ Performance Masters Polo still well withing striking distance of young leader Jayden Goosen’s AA Certified version. They don’t just have regulars, Ian Walker’s Mellow Velo machine, Dewald Theron in his Designlab version and ATE Brakes fast lady Elna Croeser to deal with, but Mydi Mfana makes a return in his Clean Energies entry.
Stuart Mack’s Autozone Tour Plan Polo has long clinched a back-to-back Class B title but he will be hoping for two things on Saturday. Eight or more cars in class so he can score full points. And that he will be able to keep all of them behind in both heats for the best chance to nick that overall crown. Among those out to do the exact opposite, Volkswagen Rookie refugee Mauro da Luz, Francis Aldrich, Northern Bolt & Tool lad Jonathan Konig, Nicole Lombard, and Chris Davison’s Generator Services car are all known quantities. Add Pabar wildcard Anthony Lessing and Applied Heat debutant Sebastian Bouilliart and Class B is set to light up on Sunday.
Adriaan de Beer and his Ukwazi Engineering Vivo not only have Stuart Mack to deal with in the overall title, but his other championship rival, Bryce Pillay is also very much still in the Class C running. The Brat Pack has also swelled for Zwartkops with regulars Stuart Konig’s Northern Bolt machine, Andy Gossman’s Cardoc version, Insurisk trio Kyle Petersen, Dimitri Zapheriou and ATE man Philip Croeser joined by Michael Zapheriou.
So who will win? What promises to be a sensational ATE VW Challenge Finale joins a full Zwartkops’ Regional Extreme Festival Finals presented by Coca-Cola on Saturday 8 November. Be there!
