South African enduro rider Andrew de Kock delivered a remarkable performance at the Sea to Sky Enduro in Kemer, Antalya, Türkiye. The event, part of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, is known for its stunning yet punishing route that takes riders from the Mediterranean shoreline to the summit of Mount Tahtalı, also known as “Olympos.”
Throughout the three challenging stages, Andrew showcased grit and determination. During the final Mountain Race, a snapped chain threatened to end his run, but he managed to repair it on the mountainside and push through to the finish. His efforts paid off as he clinched first place in the Bronze Class and finished 125th overall out of more than 380 international competitors.
“It was an incredible experience to represent South Africa and race against some of the world’s best,” said de Kock. “The terrain was brutal but beautiful, and finishing strong after the challenges made it even more rewarding.”
Andrew’s impressive result highlights his personal skill and perseverance and adds to South Africa’s growing reputation on the global enduro stage.
