At 60 years old, Cape Town’s Nick Adcock is proving that age is no barrier when passion meets preparation. Having first entered the motorsport scene in 2000, Nick has since competed in every season, carving his own path rather than following family footsteps.
Currently, Nick races in the European Le Mans Series, European Prototype Cup, the South African Endurance Series, and Killarney Sports & GT. His proudest moment was winning the 2024 European Le Mans Series title in the LMP3 category.
Despite competing against younger peers, Nick embraces the challenge, training harder and preparing meticulously. Representing South Africa internationally is a badge of pride for him, with the national flag proudly displayed on his race cars in Europe.
When asked about success in motorsport, Nick keeps it simple: “Work hard, train hard, speak to everyone, keep your eye on the goal, and be nice to every person you meet.” His motorsport hero is Ayrton Senna, a fitting role model for his clean, efficient, and tidy driving style.
Off the track, Nick enjoys gym training and running his business, while his wife Sharon plays an important role in supporting his racing journey, travelling with him to every race. Fans can follow his adventures on Facebook and Instagram.
Nick Adcock is more than just a competitor. He is a responsible champion determined to open doors for the next generation of South African drivers in Europe.
