The South African National Rally Championship (NRC) will reach its thrilling conclusion with the highly anticipated 2025 TRAC N4 Rally, taking place on 31 October and 1 November in the scenic town of Dullstroom, Mpumalanga.
As the final event of the 2025 NRC Rally Championship, the last round promises high drama and fierce competition as top teams battle it out for championship glory. Known for its rugged terrain, breathtaking forest stages, and vibrant atmosphere, the TRAC N4 Rally will once again deliver an unforgettable motorsport spectacle.
A flagship motorsport event
The TRAC N4 Rally has established itself as one of the most prestigious fixtures on the national motorsport calendar. This year marks the fifth consecutive year that Dullstroom, in the eMakhazeni region, will host the finale. Over the years, the event has grown in prominence, drawing elite rally crews and passionate fans from across South Africa.
The oldest consecutive championship in SA motorsport
The NRC is celebrated as the oldest consecutive championship in South African motorsport, and the 2025 season has lived up to its legacy. After months of fierce battles since May, the showdown in Dullstroom will decide who takes the ultimate crown.
Going all out for the finale
The TRACN4 Rally theme, ‘Going All Out,’ continues in the 2025 edition, perfectly capturing the intensity and high stakes expected at the championship decider. Over two days, teams will push their skills, strategy, and machinery to the limit, ensuring fans are treated to non-stop action.
The event spans two adrenaline-charged days, featuring approximately 180 kilometres of challenging stages through some of Mpumalanga’s most untamed forests. The combination of high-altitude terrain, unpredictable weather, and demanding routes will ensure that only the best of the best can claim victory at the season’s ultimate showdown. The forest stages, maintained by Safcol and S&N Boerdery, remain a defining feature of this rally with their narrow, technical passages and fast-changing surfaces test not just speed but also precision and endurance – the perfect battleground for a championship finale.
Motorsport with a purpose
Since 2020, the TRAC N4 Rally has played a vital role in supporting the local community. Proceeds go towards the Dullstroom Epilepsy Centre, Epilepsy SA’s Mpumalanga hub, which provides crucial services for individuals and families living with epilepsy.
The event also injects much-needed revenue into the economies of Dullstroom and Belfast, creating jobs and boosting tourism. Local businesses continue to credit the rally for its role in placing the region on the national stage.
A must-watch for fans
While staying true to its winning format, the 2025 edition will bring new spectator experiences, enhanced engagement opportunities, and potential new cars in the NRC line-up, ensuring this finale is even more memorable than before. Dedicated spectator zones will again be created, giving fans prime spots to
witness the action. Full details will be shared closer to the event on TRAC’s and NRC’s social media
platforms, as well as in the official rally programme released one week before race day.
With its blend of fierce competition, stunning scenery, and strong community ties, the 2025 TRAC N4 Rally is the perfect way to close out the National Rally Championship season. As teams go all out for the final time this year, the event will once again unite drivers, fans, and the community in celebrating the very best of rally racing in South Africa.
