“Unfortunately yesterday a couple of us have been messing around and therefore we’ve been penalized: starting from the last position is never fun, especially in this track where the tire’s consumption is quite key. I did my best to try to get as far as I could in the beginning while trying to manage the tires, but at 7 laps to go I was really starting to struggle with the front tyre. I new I just had to keep it up and bring it to the finish. My goal of course was to reach the points but unfortunately I arrived short of that, struggling with the tires. It was definitely a difficult race but I learn from my mistake of messing around in qualifying and I’ll never do it again: hopefully in Misano we’ll get a better grid position: I really enjoy that track and it will be the home GP of the team so an extra motivation to do good.”
