Dunlop lets the tyres show the way at Festival of Motoring
Dunlop will let its tyres do the talking at this year’s Kyalami Festival of Motoring. South Africa’s favourite tyre brand has assembled a mouthwatering selection of cars to allow showgoers to experience its SportMaxx tyres doing what they do best on the epic Grand Prix Circuit over the weekend of 29 to 31 August.
“This year’s Festival of Motoring is dedicated to demonstrating the full potential of Dunlop tyres through exhilarating hot laps on the racetrack,” explains Dunlop Tyres Marketing Manager, Joanne de Freitas. “Instead of secondary displays and side shows, Dunlop will take centre stage on the track, showcasing our road tyre range in hot laps on a diverse selection of cars, just as we do most weekends.”
Dunlop will be the tyre supplier to Volkswagen, Toyota GR, MG, Suzuki, and MasterDrive. 206 tyres have been issued for Festival hot lap duty to allow showgoers to ride along in Volkswagen’s Golf GTI and R models, or Toyota GR Corollas, GR Yaris, and GR Supra on Dunlop tyres. MG’s Cyberster, ZS Pro, HS and 3, and MasterDrive’s Mustangs, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche 911 will also all be Dunlop shod, as will all the Suzukis at Kyalami.

The Dunlop-supported Festival of Motoring brings key motor industry players together with car enthusiasts and the general public in a three-day motor extravaganza from 30 August. To 1 September. Featuring over 150 exhibitors and 20 car brands showcasing motor industry innovation and technology in the Kyalami Pit Complex Exhibition Centre and around the circuit, it’s a spectacle not to be missed!
