We are deeply saddened by the passing of Schultz Swanepoel, a dedicated and respected figure in South African motorsport.
Schultz devoted many years to the sport he loved. In 2002, he founded the Zwartkops Marshals Club (ZMC) and served as Chairman and Chief Marshal until the end of 2024. He also held the position of Clerk of the Course at Zwartkops Raceway, continuing in that role until his retirement.
He was more than just a leader. Schultz was a true mentor who inspired generations of marshals and racers with his experience, warmth, and commitment. Away from the circuit, he often spoke with pride and fondness about his time in the air force, his passion for music, and his many travels.
