Sadly a number of cars were withdrawn after practice maladies with Connor Kilbride and newcomer, Garth Mackintosh, tripping over each other in Turn 4, Sarel Sweep, to eliminate both the 42A Racing Spirit BMW M3 and the Porsche GT3 Cup.
Imaad Modack on the other hand had his ex-Angel 47X Porsche GT2R ready and though this car could obviously be pushed harder there was no need and he cruised to victory in both heats to claim overall first place. Louis Powell drove his replica Maissner 151A Ford Escort MkI as though Willie Meissner was watching to finish ahead of the Cape Eye Laser 414B Ford Capri of Jarryd Evans and the M&E Auto 1B Ford Capri 3.4 of Trevor Momberg. Keeping it blue in sixth was Brian Evans in his rapid Cape Eye Laser 441B Ford Escort MkI.
