CRG driver, Wian Boshoff is set to compete at the MSA National Kart Championship this weekend (June 24-25) as Round 3 of the ROK Cup national and regional championships are set to resume at the iDube Raceway in KwaZulu-Natal.
Boshoff heads into the third round looking for an improved performance at a circuit that he enjoys and that suits his driving style. Currently, fourth in the championship, the blonde-headed Centurion resident is keen on improving his position in the Mini ROK Championship standing where he currently occupies the fourth position. Boshoff is yet to win this season and has claimed a second-place finish at the previous round.
“I want to win this weekend,” said Boshoff. “I know I have what it takes to win in Mini ROK. It’s a tough class with very little to separate the top-10 competitors. I enjoy this circuit very much and we’ve been fast here in testing. Wesleigh and Ryan will no doubt give me a well-prepared kart and it will be up to me to reward them with a good result.”
Friday will see several practice sessions followed by a late afternoon Qualifying Session. Race day will be live on the ROK Cup South Africa’s Facebook page so Wian’s fans and followers won’t have to miss anything.
Regrettably, spectators are still not allowed at any motorsport events.
