The penultimate rounds of both the South African and Northern Regions Rok Cup will take place at iDube Raceway this weekend 21 and 22 November 2020. Luke Hill heads into the weekend filled with confidence and ready to race.
Luke and his K2 Motorsport team have been putting in some intense practice sessions at the Camperdown circuit, including testing in both wet and dry conditions. This will serve Luke well given the every changing KZN weather.
In terms of the National Championship, Luke is currently in 7th place in the overall Mini Rok point’s standings, but there are only 9 points separating 3rd and 7th. Luke leads the under 10 division of the championship and some good results this weekend will go a long way in securing back to back titles. With one podium finish already to his name this season, Luke has both the determination and the talent to succeed this weekend.
2020 has been an unprecedented year and as a means to recover the racing season, the Northern Regions championship is being run concurrently with the Nationals. IDube points will therefore count towards both championships.
Luke is fourth in the regional standings and needs just four points to move up a position. He leads the under 10 sub division and will be focused on ending the year with this title, as well as a podium in the main championship.
The weekend’s racing will be streamed live on the Rok Cup SA Facebook page.
