Pete & Paige on the brink of a great adventure
What International Historic Challenge Round 3 Preview
Where Zandvoort, Holland
When 18-19 May 2019
Lindenberg Racing dad and daughter Peter and Paige are on the verge of an incredible international adventure as they jet off to Holland for the third round of the International Historic Series that commenced in South Africa in February. The Lindenbergs will race at Zandvoort on the 19 May weekend before heading to Brands Hatch in England in June.
“We are counting the sleeps!” Paige beamed. “Our cars have arrived safely in the Netherlands where they are patiently waiting for us to arrive — I have seldom had butterflies so bad!” Paige will be reunited with her monster Legends of the 9-Hour Ford Fairlane in Holland, where she hopes for a step forward. “I was tenth at the opening round at Zwartkops and a good first race at Killarney, but I missed race 2 there because of a technical problem, so I plan to make good on new ground at Zandvoort.”
Peter Lindenberg enjoyed a great South African leg, driving his Legends of the 9-Hour Shelby Mustang GT350 to third in Pretoria before dominating the Cape Town round to head to Holland leading the series championship. “I can’t wait for this — it is a dream to be able to race in a team with my daughter Paige and this international opportunity is very special for us,” multiple Springbok water and motorsportsman Pete admitted.
“Of course it’s even better to head over there in the title lead, but we now have to deal with our European rivals in their own back yard, so the shoe may very well be on the other foot, but nothing will quite match the adventure we now embark on — let’s do this!"
The Lindenbergs who live in Langebaan in the Western Cape, are backed by Sabat Batteries, Road to Race and Shelby SA; GES, aQuellé water, Metabo cordless power tools, The Solutions Team branding, Adendorff Machinery Mart and Hard Rock Cafe, as well as Llumar and Motul lubricants.
