KZN’s largest motorshow brings the world’s largest subwoofer, SA’s biggest, 400 strong show n shine, a spin box, gymkhana grid ‘drum dash’ - all to the Dezzi South Coast Raceway this weekend.
This year’s AutoStyle Motorshow will take over the entire track at Dezzi South Coast Raceway for the first time in its 14 year history. The event takes place for one day only, Sunday 17 September.
Vistiors can expect to see:
The largest show ‘n shine in South Africa. “We’re hoping to break last year’s record of 400 vehicles’ said organiser Prethiven Naidoo. The annual event enjoys paricipation from Cape Town and Johannesburg, with car clubs expected from both this year.
Drum Dash will give one local drifter the opportunity to win a golden ticket to compete in the Gymkhana Grid alongside Ken Block at Carnival City in November. “We are on the only event in KZN to give drivers this opportunity – people will love to see what competitive gymkana drifting looks like” said organiser Darren Lewis.
The world’s largest subwoofer, named the Jack Hammer, will make it’s continent debut at the event. Brought in by MTX South Africa, the speaker will be on display for all to see and experience.
And speaking of sound, two sound meters will allow cars to run head to head in a sound-off competition – the first of it’s kind for the event.
A 40 strong exhibitor line up includes AutoTrader, Speed and Sound Magazine, Gas Magazine, KZN Drag Racing, MTX and many more. “This event is so well attended each year and a great opportunity for us to introduce more people to our trusted motoring marketplace. We are pleased to be involved again” said AutoTrader CEO George Mienie.
And if that isn’t enough, add in to the mix a mobile dyno, suicide rides, and a spin box where two spin car drivers will show off their daring skills.
Daily prize giveaways are big and impressive and includes four Dunlop tyres - the new FM800; 247 Race Fuel hampers; and many more.
The show enjoys a annual footfall of over 12,000 people, and will be on for one day at the Dezzi South Coast Raceway in Port Shepstone – Sunday 17 September. Entrance costs R60 adults, kids U12 go free, R30 for pensioners. Parking is free and in abundance. Full on site catering will be available including Halaal. No alcohol.
